Despues de muchos años, considerado por muchos fans uno de sus peores discos, uno se da cuenta, que es un fantastico CD, sólo tiene un pero, los temas de Simmons, no son de los mejor. Recordar que esa época, quien tiraba de KISS era Paul Stantley ya que "El Demonio" estaba ocupado haciendo sus pinitos en el Cine.

By 1985, Kiss were a shadow of their former selves. Gone was the raw rock of their not so distant past, as well as their memorable "heavy Beatles" songwriting. In its place was a sound that was too similar to other pop-metal bands at the time, as well as unimaginative, predictable songs, as evidenced on Asylum. The album marked the appearance of Kiss' fourth guitarist in four years, Bruce Kulick -- brother of Bob Kulick, who played as a session guitarist on Alive II, Killers, and Paul Stanley's 1978 solo album -- who had replaced Mark St. John on the 1984-1985 Animalize tour. Besides the popular video/single "Tears Are Falling," Asylum is chock-full of nondescript fluff ("I'm Alive," "Trial by Fire," "Secretly Cruel," "Love's a Deadly Weapon," etc.). Although the band again treads on Spinal Tap territory with "Uh! All Night," several tracks could have benefited greatly from a heavier sound, such as "King of the Mountain," "Any Way You Slice It," and "Who Wants to Be Lonely." Although it attained platinum status, Stanley and Gene Simmons would rightfully dismiss Asylum later on.

Este lo tenia en Vinilo, nunca he llegado a comprarlo en CD, aunque lo tengo bajado en LOSSLESS en unos cuantos formatos diferentes.
A mi me gusta el disco , es que los '80, pues fue mi época, de KISS y el gran Eric Carr y Bruce Kulick hicieron unos discos muy buenos, aunque no fueran los KISS arrasadores de los '70, pero a mi las pintas sin maquillaje me encantaba, sobre todo Paul Stanley, que de maricón lo ponian todo el mundo, pero este se ha tirado a mas tias, que nostros aunque vivamos 1000 años.

a mi este disco quitando tears are falling me cuesta mucho .......incluso la imagen no me gusta nada.peo bueno kiss es lo que tiene.genera debate en todo momento .......

Efectivamente, Kiss genera debate, una buena manera de saber que siguen activos y que la gente le gusta. Por cirto, a mi particularmente "tears are falling", no es de los temas que más me guste, yo de este disco me quedo con King of the Mountain, que no entiendo como no salio se single.

A mi este disco en particular "me encanta" de hecho aun sonando en la onda "AOR" lo encuentro uno de los discos mas originales que tienen de composicion,las canciones son buenisimas y suenan con mas personalidad que el siguiente CRAZY NIGHT,lo unico que es un poco flojo de este disco es la produccion que es bastante floja,pero eso aun le da un toque mas de originalidad que muchos otros mejor producidos.
