Axel Rudi Pell (born 27 June 1960) is a German heavy metal guitar player and
his eponymous band. He started off with the band Steeler (1984–88)
before leaving to start his solo career in 1989. During this time, he
has played with such drummers as Jörg Michael and Mike Terrana, and
singers Johnny Gioeli, Jeff Scott Soto, and Rob Rock.
ARP is on the next level now and it wouldn’t be a great surprise if he
cracked the German Top 10 this time, seeing that his 2012 release
“Circle Of The Oath” already went to no. 16! He’s certainly earned it.
If someone has delivered the goods for 25 years, there’s got to be a
reward. Note: anniversaries are always special. BTW: There will be a
special 3-hours-plus show at Germany’s “Bang Your Head festival” in
2014, including a Steeler reunion and lots of surprise guests.

Three hours before the sun went down, creating a beautiful atmosphere at the ´Bang
Your Head´ festival in Balingen/Germany, where Axel Rudi Pell celebrated
his 25th anniversary as a solo artist with a once-in-a-life-time
performance. The CDs and DVDs document a show that is unlikely to ever
be seen again in this constellation – a special present the protagonist
had worked hard for. As Axel is an early bird, the whole organisation
was fairly easy. Of course there were rehearsals, but only one day
before the show. Over fifty minutes worth of footage from those
remarkable sessions are featured on the DVD and Blu-ray versions of this
package. During those sessions Axel realized that something unique was
happening.
