Steve Vai - Visual Sound Theories

Steven Siro Vai (born June 6, 1960) is an American guitarist, songwriter and
producer of Italian origin who has sold over 15 million albums.
After starting his career as a music transcriptionist for Frank Zappa,
Vai recorded and toured in Zappa's band for two years, from 1980 to
1982. He began a solo career in 1983, has released eight solo albums and
won three Grammy Awards.
He has also recorded and toured with Public Image Ltd., Alcatrazz, David Lee Roth and Whitesnake.
Vai has been a regular touring member of the G3 Concert Tour which began in 1995.

In 1999 Vai started his own record label Favored Nations, intending to
showcase as he describes, "...artists that have attained the highest
performance level on their chosen instruments."
Vai is widely recognized as a highly technically advanced rock guitarist
and has been described as a virtuoso in the world of guitar music.
His 1990 album Passion and Warfare and the ballad For the Love of God in
particular received a significant amount of press and are often cited
by critics and fans alike as amongst his best work to date
Vai's playing style has been characterized as quirky and angular, owing
to his technical ability with the instrument and deep knowledge of music
theory.

His playing can also be described as lyrical, as if sung by a human
voice. That is why his melodies are hard to duplicate as they are not
strict tempo.
He often uses exotic guitars; he plays both double and triple neck
guitars (including a custom-made heart-shaped triple-neck model built by
luthier Joe Despagni), and is regarded as the first to use the 7-string
guitar in a rock context.
Along with Ibanez, he designed a signature 7-string guitar, the Ibanez
Universe in 1989, which provided the low-end rumble many guitarists were
craving.

A mí con el Utorrent me han aparecido 4 semillas en un momento, 2 al 40 y 2 al 100x100. Uni lanzó hace tiempo este DVD comprimido en la mula y todavía tiene bastantes fuentes. Puede que te vaya un poco más rápido, aquí tienes el enlace:

This DVD consists of orchestral music and other rich compositional pieces that
Steve has written. Vai was commissioned to compose an hour of music for
the Metropole Orkest in Holland but ended up putting together an
exceptional 2 hours of quality work. The DVD includes 15 tracks plus
orchestra only performance, behind the scenes featurette, interview at
De Oosterpoort with Vai, and additional performance.

These 2004 and 2005 live performances highlight the collaboration
between instrumental guitar composer Steve Vai and the Metropole Orkest
from Holland. Vai's trademark rock guitar creations are enriched by the
accompaniment of a full orchestra, directed by conductor Dick Bakker.
