Boxset with the first six CDs (five studio and one live album) of Doro after leaving Warlock, from 1989 to 1995 including seven bonus tracks.
From Amazon.com: I'm just starting with this set, so I can't speak to the contents and whether this is the music you want to pick up. This is more geared towards people who see a Doro box set and want to know what it's about and what's in it.
This set contains six discs in a clamshell box. The individual albums - Force Majeure, Doro, True at Heart, Angels Never Die, Live, and Machine II Machine - are housed in cardboard sleeves. A rather thick booklet containing an essay, album credits and track listings is also included. Given how sparse a lot of these box sets are becoming, the booklet is a nice touch. Additionally, the sleeves are a softer cardboard so, while I wouldn't expect them to last long outside of the box itself, they shouldn't pose a risk to the discs over time - EXCELLENT!
Overall, there's not a lot here by way of bonus content (only four albums have bonus tracks), but this is a pretty inexpensive way to collect the first six of Doro's albums after going solo and it's not a badly presented set given the price. At the time of writing, you would have a hard time finding three individual CDs for the price some sellers are offering this set for new, so it's excellent value for money, the artwork printing is high quality, etc. AND the music is pretty awesome as well from what I've heard so far.
It's probably not got a lot to offer people who already own her catalog, but for the curious or those looking to upgrade LP copies, this is definitely a good option.

Muy buena esta caja y tambien muy oportuna. Me iba a pillar en amazon la edicion Album Classic que trae los mismos discos exceptuando el directo, sin bonus ni libreto y con una caja en donde guardar los CDs mas sencilla. Al ver tu publicacion la busque en amazon y costaba exactamente lo mismo. Ni me lo pense.
Ademas, al no tener ningun disco original de Doro me es mucho mas interesante.
Yo tengo alguna caja de ésas que has comentado y merecen la pena también, sobre todo para completar discografías o si apenas tienes discos de alguien, porque por ese precio... A ver si escaneo y subo la de UFO, que viene con 10 discos de estudio más bonus y he visto que en Amazon España piden casi mil euros por ella nueva.
