From RateYourMusic:
The eleven song Nothin' but Trouble (Geffen/1993) is a stark departure from the epic self-titled debut release from Blue Murder, which featured John Sykes, Carmine Appice and Tony Franklin. There are several solid rock 'n' roll tracks on Nothin' but Trouble, which were laid down by a revamped line-up, but very little rivals the material from the first Blue Murder disc.
Produced by main man Sykes, Nothin' but Trouble gets off to a hard charging start with the raucous anthem "We All Fall Down". Other noteworthy tracks from the recording include "Cry For Love", "Shouldn't Have Let You Go", "Love Child", and the moving "I Need An Angel", which does sound the closest to anything on offer from the stellar debut disc. The 1993 release adds a cover of the Steve Marriott and Ronnie Lane penned "Itchycoo Park".
Sykes confidently displays his pipes and guitar work throughout the entire recording, with the backing of Tommy O'Steen (drums), Marco Mendoza (bass), Nik Green (keyboards) and Kelly Keeling (backing vocals). Carmine Appice and Tony Franklin guested on a few of the tracks.
Worth checking out... but first and foremost, pick-up the debut from Blue Murder.
