| TIMO-TOLKKI-AVALON-A-World-Without-Us-Enshrined-In-My-Memory-2013
Frontiers Records will release TIMO TOLKKI'S AVALON new CD "The Land Of New Hope" in the second half of May, 2013.
Tolkki was able to gather some of most accomplished international
singers: Michael Kiske (UNISONIC), Elize Ryd (AMARANTHE), Rob Rock
(IMPELLITTERI), Russell Allen (ALLEN LANDE), Sharon Den Adel (WITHIN TEMPTATION) and Tony Kakko (SONATA ARCTICA).
Rounding out the stunning lineup of this album are world-renowned
musicians Alex Holzwarth (RHAPSODY OF FIRE) on drums, Jens Johansson
(ex- MALMSTEEN), Derek Sherinian (DREAM THEATER, BLACK COUNTRY COMMUNION) and Mikko Härkin (SONATA ARCTICA) on keyboards, and Tolkki himself taking care of all guitars, bass and production duties.
As advance , two singles has been presented: "A World Without Us"
featuring lead vocals from Elize Ryd (AMARANTHE), Rob Rock
(IMPELLITTERI) and Russell Allen (SYMPHONY X).
The other one is "Enshrined in my Memory", again with Elize Ryd on leads showing the more melodic side of Tolkki's songwriting.
Both songs are quite strong, as seems the entire new album will be, aiming to return Tolkki to the forefront of the metal scene.
