| SONIC STATION - Sonic Station (2012)
SONIC STATION is a new AOR / West Coast project from Sweden put together by guitarist/composer/producer Alexander Kronbrink and keyboardist Jonathan Fritzen.
These session musicians are clearly influenced by '80s Toto, Mr. Mister and Journey, but also the West Coast sound of Airplay and Chicago. Their debut CD reflects both the artists and the style.
The band was completed with four experienced Swedish vocalists (also contributing lyrics); the female Marika Willstedt & Tove Lo, and male Kristoffer Fogelmark & Magnus Backlund.
The music of Sonic Station combines the melody of the classy wimpy AOR with a pleasant West Coast breeze appeal, adding some touches of light Melodic Rock.
