Before the Rain is the complete collection of demos that caught the attention of A&R guru John Kalodner in late 1989 and that scored NELSON a recording contract with Geffen Records which led to sales in excess of 3 million units of their debut album "After the Rain".
Before the Rain includes 8 completely unreleased tracks, the original versions of 8 "After the Rain" songs, plus the original versions of "Runnin’ Outta Time" which ended up being released on their Japan only 1997's album "The Silence Is Broken" and of the brand new single "You're All I Need Tonight" released on the current album Lightning Strikes Twice.
