Huntress es una banda de heavy metal estadounidense, formada en el
underground de Highland Park, California cuando la vocalista Jill Janus
se mudó a Los Ángeles donde conoció a una banda de metal underground
llamada 'Professor' en 2009.
Huntress firmo con Napalm Records en noviembre de 2011. Su EP debut
'Off with Her Head' fue lanzado en 2010. El 27 de diciembre de 2011,
lanzaron su primer single, "Eight of Swords", para promover su álbum de
debut, Spell Eater.
El estilo de la banda se ha catalogado como clásico heavy metal con
influencias del thrash y doom metal. Las canciones cuentan con fequent
gritando por la cantante Janus, que tiene un rango vocal de cuatro
octavas.
