As one of the first acts in spanish underground scene, since 1994 we go on our own path against almost everything. We walk what we talk, and we walk wherever the fuck we want. This dissident and cold attitude is the key of our survival. Totally and deliberatly under the influence of the 80s/(early)90s spirit, we worship every fuckin' record from the old Earache catalogue and the original Death Metal from Scandinavia and USA, together with a deep respect and admiration for bands such as Motörhead, Celtic Frost, Iron Maiden and Venom.

After six years of releasing demotapes and split 7"s, we released our first album in the year 2000. The splits and eps between albumes never stopped, there's a few limited and rare shit released through the years, and we plan to continue with this mania forever.

After breaking relations with the North American label Razorback we're now signed to Throne, who instead of taking care only of the vinyl edition has financed and released our fourth album "Mundo Cripta" on June 2008, an album produced by the almighty Gonso Pedrido, well-known for his work with us in the early days.

Machetazo has done numerous tours in Spain, various festivals around Europe, and toured the USA East Coast. Always feeling more confortable in small clubs than big stages, cos' big audiences and money-making for everybody except the band is not our goal.
